ABOUT US
Westbury Gospel Tabernacle is a branch church of Bethel Gospel Tabernacle, Inc. with headquarters in Jamaica, Queens, New York. Our General Overseer is Bishop Roderick R. Caesar.
During the 1960s, Bishop Roderick Caesar, Sr. founded the church in Westbury with the cooperation of dedicated leaders and members. It was the Bishop’s desire that a local church be established so that members would not have to travel so far to Queens to worship.
By God’s providence, a concrete garage and repair shop on Prospect Avenue was secured. Today, over many years later, and after many physical transformations, Westbury Gospel Tabernacle stands as a beautiful house of worship serving the New Cassel community and beyond.
Over the decades many leaders and members have served the church with distinction. We continue to reap the benefits of their labor and sacrifice, and are grateful for their commitment to the work of the Lord (John 4:38).
In 1997 Bishop Roderick Caesar installed Rev. Stephen Samuel as Senior Pastor of Westbury Gospel Tabernacle. He continues to serve today with the loving support of his family, church leaders, and the congregation.
Our prayer is that hand of the LORD would continue to be with us. Our desire is to be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).
